Brent McCrossen - CEO & Co-Founder
As the CEO of Audiosocket, Brent is responsible for the company’s business development. Working with his business partner, investors, employees and customers Mr. McCrossen crafts a vision and strategy that benefits not only the company but also the musicians and media producers it has set out to assist. He first made his mark as Co-Founder of Interface Booking and Management. Interface was a Seattle based booking and talent agency in charge of the talent buying for three Seattle music venues: High Dive, Nectar Lounge and Tost. The company managed such artist as KJ Sawka, Emilia Sosa, DJ Motion Potion and Chrisopher Blue. Having booked their artist roster on national tours, they leveraged those successes and secured appearances at nationally acclaimed festivals like Bonnaroo, Vegoose, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Bumbershoot. Ten plus years in the music business gives Brent a unique perspective on the industry and the changes it’s facing. Being born and raised in New Orleans, Brent has a deep passion for all things food, music and culture. He has made that passion a career.
Jenn Miller - President, COO & Co-Founder
Jenn was the former Executive Director of a national extreme sports association (WWSRA). She managed and lead all business operations, employees and hundreds of events during her time at WWSRA. During her tenure, she began scouting talent and providing music clearance services for extreme sports films and built up a strong network within the music industry. Following her 7 years with WWSRA, Jenn spent two years working for herself as CEO of her own consulting company which led her to pursue the business she was most passionate about, music. In 2007, she and Brent partnered up to begin developing the foundation and vision that would become Audiosocket.
Charlie Morss - Chief Technology Officer
Charlie currently leads Audiosocket's technical efforts. Charlie has worked exclusively in the software industry for over 20 years. Before joining Audiosocket Charlie was Chief Architect and Director of Platform Technologies at Adready where he oversaw the technical aspects of the AdReady platform and provided technical guidance and mentorship. Prior to Adready Charlie was VP of Development at ODS Software which was successfully acquired by Progressive Solutions International during he tenure. He has also worked in the consulting arena primarily as an enterprise software architect. During his tenure in the consulting field, Charlie worked with a number of high profile clients including Washington Mutual, Cingular, Classmates Online and Eastman Kodak. Charlie also held the position of CTO at FusionStor, a business which he co-founded in the data retention market.
Dave Siegfried - Controller
Dave is responsible for all financial operations of the company including financing, accounting and reporting. He brings over 12 years of financial experience having worked for multiple firms across various industries. Part of the Audiosocket team since the company's humble beginning, Dave's passion for music and technology have been integral in building the operating foundation of Audiosocket. When Dave’s not crunching numbers he can usually be found crushing them and he's very excited to no longer have to wear sweater vests to work.
Cary LoGrande - Director of Music, Film & Television - New York & L.A, Music Supervision
With over ten years of music industry experience, Cary has found his rhythm in nearly every facet of the biz. Since joining Audiosocket in 2008, Cary has provided music supervision for Discovery, Travel, Nickelodeon and Apple and negotiated music rights and clearance with NBC, CBS, Showtime, MTV as well as numerous film & advertorial campaigns. One of his most satisfying endeavors? Partnering independent artists with production studios for original recordings, without question! Cary’s extensive and diverse experience also includes score preparation for orchestral film sessions, multi-stage concert management and writing music reviews for some of his favorite publications. Cary credits his studies in audio engineering and sound design, at the Berklee College of Music as a crash course in studio life 'behind the glass'. When asked of his desert island album? T Rex's Electric Warrior with absolute certainty... for today.
Jonathan Walsh - Director of Creative Music Services
Jon thinks it was in New Orleans that his love for music settled deeply into his soul. Jon owned a successful music promotion business that produced in excess of 50 shows over 4 years primarily with New Orleans acts. Jon Walsh Presents lost on only one show in the entire four years - snow storm! In addition, Jon produced some of the more successful night shows during New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest every year. Jon and family moved back to New Orleans in September 2008 where he met Brent McCrossen shortly thereafter at a fund raiser, and assisted with opening and running the New Orleans office of Audiosocket.
Justin Marcellus - Head of Catalog
If there's a sound that's Audiosocket, it starts here. Our head of catalog is an original team member of the Audiosocket family. From our humble beginnings working in our living rooms, to working in our downtown offices, Justin has been maintaining our roster of artists ever since. Representing Audiosocket out of Los Angeles, California, Justin is also a professional network TV composer for the likes of Discovery, History, A&E, Fox and many more. Working on both sides of the aisle gives Justin a unique advantage in bridging our clients and our artists together, and at the end of the day...that's what we're all about.
Sarah Hunt - A&R and Music Supervision
Sarah brings a thirteen year background in the music industry working with majors and indies in artist management & development, scouting talent, international tour management, event production, social networking, marketing, and digital distribution. Hobbies include globe-trotting, scouting taco trucks and seeking out what's next.
Emilia Ellington - Licensing Account Manager
Emilia has been in the music scene since she could walk the streets of New Orleans. After years of touring while being signed to an indie label, she has settled in her new home of Seattle post-Katrina. She is the wearer of many fabulous hats on and off the clock. Favorite past times include catching anything (including herself) on fire, making and eating super spicy foods, and writing hot-hot-hot music.
Travis Geer - Catalog Department
Travis graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Ethnomusicology -- yeah, it's pretty much as impressive as it sounds. He suffers from musical instrument ADD, which is unfortunately untreatable at this time. Though guitar is his instrument of choice, you may find him noodlin' with the Irish tin whistle, bagpipes, piano, Latin Percussion, and even the Ghanaian xylophone if he's feeling saucy. As diverse as his instrument interests are, so also is his experience in the various facets of the music industry which include performance, musical direction in college radio, and mixing live sound. And this boy can dance.
Neil Mock - Developer
Neil Mock, notable Audiosocket Development oligarch, hails from a mishmash of digital media startups and otherwise mercurial ventures. When not giving the CTO migraines, he occasionally makes things, rants about things, agonizes over Razorback football, and harbors a pair of refugee Basset Hounds.
Joe Ellis - All things UI/UX
Joe manages Audiosocket's user interface and user experience fronts, working hard to bring simplicity and style to Audiosocket's feature-rich applications. Joe has worked as a full stack web developer for nearly 10 years, and is dedicated to helping connect complex technical architectures to beautiful, easy-to-use frontend interfaces. Prior to Audiosocket, Joe created applications for a number of industries, including language education, automotive dealer management, and cruise-line reservation software. He's held the position as a senior developer for Fabrica Communications, as well as CTO of Squarefour Digital Media, a digital media agency he co-founded in the New Orleans area.
Kelly Jensen - Developer
Kelly Jensen is the most recent addition to Audiosocket's team of software wizards. She comes from a history of startups of many sizes with a wide range of technical experience. Most recently she worked at Adready, where she was instrumental in the company's efforts to improve campaign performance through data mining. Previously, as the first employee at the startup Emicus, a disaster aid service, she led the team and was primarily responsible for backend architecture and implementation. She also spent several years at Marchex rocking on all kinds of cool projects. When not writing code, Kelly enjoys snowboarding, rowing, drinking coffee, riding in boats, and other common Seattle pastimes.
